Local Luxury was established in August of 2020 by Collins Ebozue, a Boston native by way of Hyde Park. The idea of the brand came from a trend amongst the people of Boston: Putting a luxury spin on local neighborhoods that aren’t depicted as luxurious and are otherwise overlooked. When it comes to the media’s perception of Boston, they generally convey an outdated image of the city’s blue-collar roots in movies, paired with organized crime. That image marginalizes one area of Boston as well as limits the other neighborhood’s potential to grow. Local Luxury looks to change that for Boston’s marginalized neighborhoods and spread positivity to other cities in the area and beyond. All the hidden gems will shine when we work to mine them.
